Keep it quick so the tutorial doesn't get boring - don't sound stupid - am I explaining things in enough detail? too much detail? etc. I'm more efficient on my own. :)Will Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16227970662992011469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-62088278687923232062012-06-30T20:44:57.253-06:002012-06-30T20:44:57.253-06:00Thank you Sabrina - I used to have a copy of eleme...Thank you Sabrina - I used to have a copy of elements - as I recall it was way more powerful than I ever thought it would have been. And I agree, you have to keep the mistakes in, they made me laugh every time, because I make those same mistakes a lot. Just touching on what April said, another way is to select drawing layer, then with the magic wand select says the inside of the mouth, add a new layer above, then when you paint it will only paint in that selected area, if you wanted to do more than one area at once like the teeth, select a tooth with the magic wand then hold down shift & select the other teeth, that way you can do them all & not affect the rest of the drawing.

Can't wait to see this finished project now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-5720847457046375132012-06-29T23:20:08.086-06:002012-06-29T23:20:08.086-06:00I mean open my drawing file...I mean open my drawing file...Sabrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04389411085667809622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-29327504115280306732012-06-29T23:17:40.918-06:002012-06-29T23:17:40.918-06:00P.S. my fav bevarge was wine and I think it calls ...P.S. my fav bevarge was wine and I think it calls me to sleep darn 'cause I just opened my drawing fill again to figure out rays of sunshine!Sabrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04389411085667809622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-46296163325337602082012-06-29T23:15:27.531-06:002012-06-29T23:15:27.531-06:00Thanks again will for sharing! When I'm working, I forget to use all the speed tricks and sometimes I just can't get the edges to do what I want unless I am erasing them.k.h.whitakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04987337506335691981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-8558504661040125732012-06-28T17:20:39.611-06:002012-06-28T17:20:39.611-06:00Great video thanks for the tips. My favorite trick...Great video thanks for the tips. My favorite trick is to block out the main color like you did with the black at first, then duplicate that layer and lock transparency on the copied layer. Then you can shade the shape with out having to select it and it will only paint in the area that you blocked out. When you're done you just merge it with the original layer and you don't have to do any erasing.evilrobothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10908695612243658107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-42185012925845839702012-06-28T14:23:30.484-06:002012-06-28T14:23:30.484-06:00Awesome Janix! feed your soul!Awesome Janix! feed your soul!Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07533282613313770958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-24112017756479025962012-06-28T14:22:59.996-06:002012-06-28T14:22:59.996-06:00You're absolutely right April - I had a brain ...You're absolutely right April - I had a brain cramp and realized it during the video. Another suggestion: when you paint an area (like at 9:22), instead of having to hand delete/erase the outside areas (since you already have the shark's shape), go to the shape, select it, inverse it and go back to your painted layer and delete/backspace (faster than hand erasing everything). Then go in and hand erase smaller details.
I always enjoy your posts!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15273125773907912819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8558633592606222881.post-31058521174759749032012-06-28T09:35:22.466-06:002012-06-28T09:35:22.466-06:00Yeah, if I could figure out a way to get paid ever...Yeah, if I could figure out a way to get paid every time I'm on the wrong layer...
