I sketched this out during a really boring meeting and gave myself a half hour to render it in photoshop. I wanted to see how far I could get in just a short amount of time.
where did you start? the basic purple background for the trees, or sketching of lines? preferred set of brushes in photoshop? Thanks!!! Keep up the great work!
First I made the sketch in my sketchbook - scanned it - in photoshop I colored it purple and then began lightening up the sky with light blue. I always work from background to foreground and from dark to light. I learned to paint this way and I was really surprised that working in photoshop is so close to painting with acrylic. I transfered my entire process - except the mess. :)
Hey Phyllis - would it help to know that hate many artists?...In a good way. One of them is Jim Madsen - a friend, but I told him "I can't stand you" - "you're too good!" He also beats me in racquetball so there's that too. :)

Will but this is so wonderful and in a half hour?! Can I say I dislike you very much?! Just kidding, but I am trying not to covet your talent. ;)
ReplyDeleteActually, there is something so fresh about the sparseness of this, it really lacks nothing. A great and fun challenge.
